I’m interviewing Elisabeth Jackson today, author of mystery / suspense “This Beautiful World”. Welcome to my blog, Elisabeth, and thanks for visiting.
Q: Please tell us about yourself.
This Beautiful World is my debut Romantic Suspense/Mystery novel, and I have a forthcoming New Adult series. I also am a business writer. I adore dogs (and just about all animals, really), especially rescued ones, and the outdoors.
Q: Tell us about your book.
This Beautiful World blends haunting childhood secrets, romantic themes, second chances, and a mystery in a small town setting, with a dash of Gothic elements.
Q: What inspired you to write This Beautiful World?
My characters were inspired by the small, rural towns I have visited and lived in. The mystery part was actually inspired by a little known true story–I will be writing a blog post on it someday!
Q: How much time per week do you spend writing/editing your work?
It depends on what I’m working on at the moment and how much time I have. In terms of actual writing/editing, I would say about 20 hours per week. A lot of time is also spent on marketing my published work.
Q: If you could meet three authors, which authors would you choose?
Elizabeth Berg, Stephen King, and Shirley Jackson.
Q: What are you working on at the moment?
I have finished the first book in a New-Adult romance series under a different pen name. I’m very excited about it. It was recently acquired by a terrific publisher. More can be found out about it here http://heartsdesirepress.com/watermaze.html.
