Author Interview with T.C. Wheeler

I’m interviewing T.C. Wheeler, author of romance novel “First Comes Love, Then Comes…” which releases today. Thanks for answering my questions, T.C.

Author Interview

1) Please tell us about yourself.

I hail from Queens, New York. I have been married to my wonderful husband for 4 years next month. I am a fulltime writer and a fulltime pre-school teacher. Writing is a passion that I have always had. I have been writing down my crazy world of imagination since I was able to write (Yeah it’s that long ago). I enjoy reading all types of genres and helping others get their writing out to the public.

2) Tell us about your book.

Can a young married couple beat the odds of this modern day society, lies, rumors, and each other? With this couple, they slowly find out that all the relationships that the television shows you is just that…for television. This story puts a real definition of what most married couples see after love in which the popular nursery rhyme doesn’t tell you.

3) What inspired you to write First Comes Love, Then Comes…?

I’m an avid reader. I started to grow jaded of the books I was reading. It came to a point where the stories were all the same. So I took it upon myself to write something different. Every story was the same…I needed a different ending. I the book First Came Love, Then Comes… just came to me. Once I get the mindset to write, everything just flows out of me.

4) How much time per week do you spend writing / editing your work?

Every day is different. One day I can put in 12 hours, another day I will only have 10 minutes of writing in me. I get burst of writing at a time. One time a burst lasted almost 24 hours. I never force myself to write. Writing is my passion so I will never grow tired of it. If I was to push myself to write, then I will be unsatisfied with what I have written. That’s one thing I always tell people. Never force it. It will flow out of you when you let it. As far as editing, I spend at least 40 hours a week. I make editing a fulltime job.

5) If you could meet three authors, which authors would you choose?

Wow that’s a tough one. I have so many. The three I would love to meet is Emily Griffin, Maya Angelou, and Teri Woods.

6) What are you working on at the moment?

Right now I am working on several projects. A few that I am working on is a second part to First Comes Love, Then Comes…. I am also working on a poetry and short story book. I also have another novel in the works. Too early to release titles.

Thank you for having me. It’s been a pleasure answering your questions.
